The circadian cycle is the most consistent biological process we have. It wakes the body every morning and winds it down every night, close to 30,000 times in a lifetime. Modern life is blurring the line between the two.

At Hypha, we formulated a system for the full cycle: two liquid formulas, under the tongue and into the bloodstream within minutes. Seventeen ingredients across eight classes, extracted over 120 days. Under one percent alcohol, against an industry standard of twenty to forty. Made the slow way

120 days

Most take two weeks

Fermented, drawn out in water, then alcohol, then reduced into an organic coconut glycerite. The time is what lets the body take up what is inside, and it leaves under one percent alcohol.

Fermentation

10 to 14 days

The raw mushrooms and botanicals are fermented first. Fermentation starts breaking down the cell walls, chitin in the mushrooms and cellulose in the plants, so the two extractions that follow can reach what is inside.

Hot-water extraction

2 to 3 days

Hot water draws out the water-soluble compounds, the beta-glucans and other polysaccharides the mushrooms are known for. Water gets what alcohol cannot.

Alcohol extraction

About 90 days

Alcohol gets what water cannot: the triterpenes, terpenes and other alcohol-soluble actives. Three months of steeping, where most tinctures give it two weeks.

Reduction

14 to 21 days

The alcohol is drawn back off under low heat and the concentrate is carried in organic coconut glycerite. What is left is under one percent alcohol, and a tonic you can hold under the tongue.

Our story

A question, not a product.

Hypha was founded in Melbourne in 2021, with a question, not a product: what happens when a whole generation stops living in rhythm with the body it was born in?

We went back to the thinkers who had already asked it, and from their work built our own: a philosophy of return. The belief that the body already knows how to live well, and the modern world is what got in the way. It comes down to two moments: how you meet the morning, and how you close the night.

To make it real, we partnered with a leading team of chemists in California. Then we set up our own bottling and storage in New Zealand, shipping on to Australia from there, so the formula could stay exactly as it was designed. It took three countries to do it without compromise.

So we made two small rituals. Not to fix you. To return you to yourself.
